The Starting Gate At Great Horse Wedding DJs – There is something special about The Starting Gate. As you drive up to the gated entrance, you know you are in for a treat. Another wedding venue down in CT does the same thing with the gated entrance (The Winvian) and it just adds that little bit of exclusivity to the wedding. Whether you tour the golf club and member mountainside getaway or just head right to the wedding venue building (separate structures), the 100-mile view is just breathtaking from one of the wrap-around decks or ceremony gazebo.
We’ve DJing intimate weddings on the Sunset Deck or larger events in the expansive reception room A/B combined. Now, with any large space, you need to have the right Wedding DJ sound system to cover such a large (and extremely WIDE) rectangular space. We use our wireless speakers or fill speakers to get sound all the way to the far corners of the space so that everyone can hear every word during your best man’s speech. When it comes time for dancing, we can lower the volume on the fill speakers and concentrate sound on the dance floor so you can really feel the urge to get out there and shake your booty.
Don’t forget that Sunset Deck for cocktail hour – we’ll have a separate sound system out there to cover that large space with background music as people enjoy cocktails and we set the tone for your wedding day celebration.
We can even provide a sound system with multiple wireless microphones for your ceremony out in the Wedding Garden. Now, many area wedding DJs think they can adequately cover your ceremony needs with just 1 microphone. Not us – we believe the proper way to do it is with a microphone for your officiate, one for the two of you (so we hear the emotion as you exchange vows), and the 3rd microphone for any readers that are also speaking during your ceremony. Aunt Ginny in the 5th row isn’t going to be able to hear what is going on without proper sound support during your outdoor ceremony at The Starting Gate. We can even arrange for your musicians to tie into our ceremony sound system or we can provide music as you enter and exit from your wedding ceremony.

The Starting Gate at Great Horse Wedding DJ – What Will They Sound Like?
Couples are always so afraid that no one will dance at their wedding. It seems to be one of the biggest concerns about finding the right wedding DJ for their wedding. These are some of the things we hear from wedding clients all the time:

Did You Know You Should Request To Hear Your Wedding DJ Before You Hire Them?
You wouldn’t hire your wedding photographer before seeing samples of their work. The same goes for wedding DJs at The Starting Gate, but so many couples never hear their wedding DJ before they hire them. Your wedding DJ at Great Horse should be able to blend songs together for a seamless dance floor experience. No awkward gaps or as we call them “train wreck” mixes between songs. The same goes for the DJ acting as your master of ceremony. They are going to be making many announcements over the course of your wedding – you should hear them before booking your wedding DJ so you make sure that voice and style match your wedding day needs.
That’s why all our DJ/MCs have actual recordings from past weddings available for you to listen to on our website and on their MixCloud accounts. Don’t think that the $800 DJ is going to sound like one of our Luxury Wedding DJs because they have a couple of photos or slick edited video clips on their website. We all know you need to see more proof than that before entrusting your wedding day to anyone.
