The Riverview Simsbury Wedding – CT Wedding Venue
The Riverview Simsbury Wedding: Having your wedding reception at The Riverview in Simsbury CT? It is a beautiful wedding venue located along the river in Simsbury CT. There are a couple of things that you do need to be aware of before hiring your wedding DJ for The Riverview. Like many wedding venues in CT, the acoustics there are TERRIBLE. The arched ceilings are a dead giveaway to this acoustic issue. A traditional wedding DJ sets up 2 speakers flanking their DJ setup, the problem is – NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO HEAR announcements or toasts like this. There is way too much echo/reverb in this cavernous space.
You need to know acoustics and set up more than 2 speakers in a unique layout to guarantee that people can hear what is going on over the microphone. Without this experience – your guests won’t really hear toasts or introductions. We even have special near-field DJ speakers to help mitigate the acoustic issues at The Riverview (and their sister facility – The Waterview). Wedding DJ With Uplighting
The second issue – their built-in uplighting system: Their lights are arranged to light up the WINDOWS. All of the images below of event lighting at The Riverview are our uplighting set on the COLUMNS of the venue (where they should be located). This also allows us to light The Riverview during the day for daytime weddings.
