Spotify Dance Music List For My Wedding: It’s time to start thinking about the music you want played at your wedding reception. We have some suggestions for cocktail and dinner music for your wedding within some of our other wedding blog posts. Today, we are going to talk about the dancing portion of your wedding.
Remember, you have invited a diverse group of friends and family to your wedding – so keep that in mind when choosing what music you want and DON’T WANT at your wedding. We typically recommend that you cater to your older guests for the first 40-60 minutes of open dancing. This is when they are most active.
After the first 40 minutes or so, it’s OK to shift gears and play more current music or music that fits more into your style and feel. So, are you more of a classic wedding music fan or are you more into Indie Rock? Maybe you’re all about classic Motown music or boy bands? Are you more interested in hearing classic rock or 90s hip-hop?

Now – please understand that all of our Licensed DJ Music is radio edited (Spotify still has swears in their versions), so don’t worry – Grandmother won’t freak out when we play Notorious Big or other current music riddled with inappropriate language for a wedding celebration.

We were planning an out of state wedding and Jim was able to set up several Skype video calls so we could meet and talk somewhat in person with both myself and my husband.
