Make your wedding Pinterest worthy through lighting – Add some glam and light it up. Whether you’re getting married under a tent, in a barn or in a mansion – you want your wedding to be unique. Lighting will do that for you. Trying to recreate your mood or inspiration board in a modern, classic, or bohemian feel? Or add disco balls, chandeliers, uplighting, or string lighting – Let us help guide you to creating your vision to match your Pinterest board inspiration.

“The lighting and music were perfect. Rob helped make our day look and sound just the way we wanted. He was professional and kept everything moving on time and in a seamless fashion.”
Danielle – Hartford CT Wedding DJ with Lighting

Outdoor Tent Weddings

Outdoor Tent Weddings are in. Whether you find a local wedding venue that offers a tent option or you are doing a backyard tent wedding – the great outdoors will continue to be a wedding trend throughout the 2021 and 2022 wedding seasons.

Both family and friends will feel more comfortable outdoors with social gatherings for the foreseeable future. That’s just the way it will be. Don’t want to get so many “sorry I can’t come to your wedding” replies? Try keeping the festivities outside in 2021 and 2022.

Intimate and Micro Weddings

Smaller guest counts will continue for the next couple of wedding seasons. Travel will continue to be an issue with out-of-area wedding guests. Wedding guests will want to stay away from larger gatherings, so keep it a bit smaller than what you originally envisioned for your wedding.

Guest counts over 100 are going to be scarce – between social distancing guidelines and state regulations, it will just be easier to keep your guest count down. It will allow you to spend your wedding budget on things other than the meal (which normally takes a larger percentage of your wedding budget)

Think of this time as an opportunity to NOT INVITE those 2nd cousins and distant relatives that you really didn’t want at your wedding anyway. You are free to cut that guest list to the people you really want at your wedding.

Wood Arches and Custom Lighting

With smaller guest counts and outdoor weddings all the rage – it’s time to get creative with your decor. We have wood arches available for your ceremony site or over your head table.

These wood arches can be decorated by your florist with greenery and flowers or ask us to create a custom lighting design to fit your style. Pictured here are two of our smaller crystal chandeliers. We also have some cool Edison bulb options for your wedding lighting needs.

“We worked with DJ Pat. We couldn’t have been happier. From the start Rob was quick to respond and got us set up with a DJ that fit our style. Pat then was great about keeping us on our timeline and meeting us on days that worked for us ( we were out of state) to checking in the week before the wedding, sending samples of songs we requested to make sure they were the right versions. The wedding itself was great! Jesse was a hit at the Photo Booth, and Pat kept the guests dancing all night long. Thank you again!!!”

Mix It Up With Lighting

Clusters of different style lighting in your tent or barn can create a unique look and feel over your dance floor or head table. Here is a mix of Rattan chandeliers with glass and metal light fixtures.

Adding a lighting cluster in addition to traditional bistro string lights to your tent or barn venue can really bring your wedding decor to the next level.

Make Your Meal More Of A Show

Why have your meal cooked in a prep tent or kitchen when you can make the preparation and cooking part of your wedding experience for your guests? Caterers like Heirloom Fire can create a captivating, seasonally driven immersive dining experience for all.

You hear the hiss of the oil on hot steel, the sizzle of new potatoes as they are spilled onto the searing surface. You hear the clanking of metal and iron, the wood settling into hot coals, the hum of the kitchen working, the buzz of laughter and intrigue of your guests. The soft pangs of your hunger getting louder as each second passes.

Check out Heirloom Fire’s video here.

“Amazing! 5 stars! We had the most incredible experience working with Rob and were lucky enough to have Jim as our wedding DJ. Jim was so thorough and easy to work with. He even was able to edit our music for ceremony and a special performance by our friend. He was incredibly knowledgable about the technicalities, did a rehearsal with our musical performance and made sure to play all of the songs we wanted to hear. I highly recommend their services!”
Sarah – CT Shoreline Wedding DJ

Skip The Chicken Dance – Create Your Own Wedding Soundtrack

Why settle for the same boring music at your wedding? Stand out and make things just the way you want them to be.

Tired of hearing the same songs at every wedding? We are too – let us help you create the perfect music soundtrack for your wedding day.
Whether you are a foodie, hipster couple, or off-beat-bride – you love to dance, want your wedding to be unique and reflect your personalities.

See what our past clients have to say: “He was great at reading the crowd and keeping the guests out on the dance floor. Many guests commented on how it was the most fun wedding they’ve been to in a long time”

Let us help guide you to creating the type of wedding soundtrack that just feels like YOU.
So many couples are afraid no one will dance at their wedding. We want you and your guests to be up and dancing – not sitting and being bored. You will get guaranteed more dance time with one of our DJs. I am going to make sure everything we do and play reflects your personality and not some canned DJ routine (ie – chicken dance). You are going to have an amazing time. No cheesy DJ antics here.

Extend The Boundaries Of Your Party

Our Free-Standing bistro light poles or path lighting can extend the boundaries of your party or create a completely under the stars experience for your wedding guests.

Here, we were able to create a canopy of light over a 100′ long outdoor patio for this micro-wedding at Jacob’s Pillow. You can create a lighted path through the woods or from your tent to the parking lot for the safety of your guests and to add that magical feel to any wedding.

We always suggest that you do a site visit with your wedding lighting designer at dusk so you can see any trouble spots that might need lighting later in the evening.

We have waterproof lighting options to wash large trees, buildings or LED fixtures to add color washes to just about any surface.

“I cannot say enough about Rob and his team. They provided both the lighting and sound for our wedding. They are a well-oiled machine for sure. They know exactly what they are doing and I felt extremely confident stepping back and letting them do their thing. Completely stress-free.

Not to mention, there was a wedding in the tent the day after ours. The couple apparently wanted to use the same lighting set-up as we chose. Rob went out of his way to contact me and let me know that since he and his team weren’t going to have to set up the lights again, we could choose between a discounted lighting rate OR a free photo booth! We went with the free photo booth and we were so glad we did. Our guests LOVED it! There were two attendants running it and it was simply so well done and efficient the night of.
Our DJ Jim was amazing. He was very experienced and had many great tips that helped the night flow perfectly. He was helpful throughout the entire process and extremely responsive. Our guests were on the dance floor all night long!”
