We took over The Aqua Turf Club and rolled in a ton of lighting for this large charity event. Kay's Pier North and South were opened up for these 600+ guests. No DJing for us this night - it was all about setting the Hollywood Theme with lighting. From the Hollywood sign up on the ceiling to the film strip outlines and the amazing costumes that guests showed up in - this was a night to remember. We are looking forward to next year's theme...

I love The Riverview. It is just an amazing structure for our up-lighting. Check out the photos below from one of our corporate holiday parties from this past weekend.

In the quest to be politically correct, one of our clients opts for NO HOLIDAY MUSIC at their holiday party. The Log Cabin in decorated with Christmas Trees and holiday decor, but we cannot play "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". This group is always a fun dancing crowd - maybe it's the lack of holiday music? We brought in a few of our LED up-lights and some of our dance floor lighting for this event.

I recently had the opportunity to attend a bridal showcase hosted by the newly renovatedMadison Beach Hotel. Guests were treated to “Blushing Bride” cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres while meeting with select vendors chosen to work with the hotel. This is me, pictured below, next to my table chock full of timeless photo albums, fine art canvases and a few elegant and vintage frames from The Organic Bloom that I offer in my packages.

Much like a bride-to-be and her family, I got to taste test foods and meet with these creative and highly sought after vendors to see what they were all about. It was so much fun and I couldn’t wait to bring them to you via the blog! The photos below introduce you to Everthine Bridal Boutique and Ambiance Luxe Wedding Designs. (READ MORE)
A local association held their annual holiday party - there were no raffle prizes, no awards and no holiday bonus. What each person did, was they brought a new toy and donated it to local families in need. They must have brought in about 60 presents - the pile of gifts will bring some holiday cheer to many local families.
We provided the background tone with music and a few of our up-lights at The Pond House.

We did our first holiday season corporate party at The Log Cabin in Holyoke MA this past weekend. I wanted to show you a great photo we took there of the room.

The significance of this photo is - we brought 4 of our 3W LED up-lights to this event (for full room up-lighting, we typically bring in 16 of these fixtures). Our 4 lights are directly behind the DJ set-up. If you look off to the left - you will see a few low wattage LEDs that the facility put up as part of their holiday decorations. When people ask us if our 3w High output LEDs are different than other lighting company's lights - this is a great photo to show the difference. Notice the color saturation in our lights v. the washed out look of the holiday LEDs. When you are shopping around for a lighting company for your wedding - be sure to ask what size or what output LED fixtures they use (we have 10,000 LUX output fixtures).
By the way - this corporate party ROCKED! What a great crowd.

Oh, yeah - and our lights change colors via WIRELESS DMX the entire night.
The Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) located in downtown Holyoke, MA had their "topping off" ceremony and we were there providing background music and PA system rental and podium rental for the festivities. Our friends at Michael's Party Rentals provided the WESTERN MA TENT RENTAL and The Log Cabin was there as the CATERER FOR WESTERN MA.
The "Topping Off" celebration is a term used by iron workers to indicate that the final piece of steel is being hoisted into place on a building. The Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) located in downtown Holyoke, MA is a collaboration between several colleges and businesses and will be a hub for this supercomputer's home in Holyoke.
Mayor Elaine Pluta, Congressman Richard Neal, Senator Mike Knapik, Representative Michael Kane, Lt. Gov Tim Murray and Gov Deval Patrick were all in attendance and spoke at this celebration.

Reunions are always tough. It's more about setting the tone for the event v. dancing. With a mix of late 80's and early 90's music, we set the tone for this high school reunion. For the first few hours, everyone is interested in talking and catching up with old classmates. The last hour is really when people start dancing. I played some tunes that I have not played in year. Good times.

Class Reunion Top Tips
- Invite teachers!
- On nametags, have the person’s photo from the senior yearbook, so that everyone can identify each other more easily.
- Limit any raffles or speeches to 10 minutes or less (classmates are there to socialize and catch up - not win prizes)
- Make sure someone takes photos (hire a professional or designate someone to be responsible). These photos will come in handy for future gatherings
- Do not limit the music to your high school years. It is a great way to set the tone, but later on - your classmates may not want to relive their Frankie Goes To Hollywood and just may want to get down to LMFAO instead.
- Do not worry about decor or food - station style meal is fine. The food is not the reason they are gathering.
- Make sure there is ample time to socialize - designate an area with lounge furniture or a quiet area
We were invited back to Bentley College campus to provide sound and light support for comedian Dave Russo. If you ever have a chance to go see him - he his amazing. Both he and his opening act were well worth it.
The comedians tied into our sound board to get a clean audio signal as they were video taping the entire event. Here are few photos of this event:

We started with an empty service bay at The Balise Lexus Dealership in West Springfield (see photo below)

With some pipe and drape, staging, chairs, sound and light - we transformed this space into The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun fashion show. Give us a blank slate and it's amazing what you can do. Check out the photos from our completed work.

We brought in over 300 chairs, 40' runway, a couple hundred feet of black pipe and drape, 20 3watt LED par cans, 6 Leko Jr stage lights, 2 Leko 10 degree gobo projectors, podium, pin spots, truss towers, 6 speakers, 2 amplifiers and a whole lot of cables, DMX wireless system and we completely transformed this industrial space. The next time you pull your Lexus in for service, think about what went on in this space with 38 models, 10 scenes, 300+ guests and one rockin' fashion show.
