Lauren and Peter’s Wedding at The Society Room in Hartford CT

Lauren & Peter opted to have live entertainment at their wedding.  They secured us for their lighting needs.  The Society Room is one of those places where lighting is just amazing for the space.  There are so many unique architectural features in this venue.   We had the pleasure of working with Steve Fowler, their videographer from Stephen Fowler Films.

Whether it's a wedding, a private party, a business celebration or corporate conference, The Society Room will provide a dramatic and unforgettable backdrop for your special occasion. In the glorious Society Ballroom, you have a room of grand marble columns soaring to an exquisitely muraled ceiling, some thirty five feet above the dance floor.

The sweeping staircase flows down from the 3,000 square floor balcony, providing a dramatic focal point for grand entrances and photographic opportunities. Marble, limestone, brass and bronze accents adorn the opulent Ballroom in a setting right out of the Great Gatsby. Immediately adjacent to the Ballroom are three additional lounge or function spaces, each with their own special historic character, each with their own seating and full-service bar.

Here are some photos from last night's wedding.   We opted to keep their "blue" color scheme and snowflakes through the use of up-lighting and texture lights on the ceiling and on the wall with their name in lights.   Later in the night, when dancing was underway, the up-lighting changed to keep an upbeat club feel.
