Walmart Supercenter Grand Reopening – Springfield, MA
When Walmart calls and asks you to be a part of their grand reopening as a Supercenter (added 25,000 sq ft), you go. The Mayor of Springfield, Chamber of Commerce dignitaries and Police, Fire and many more were in attendance as the American Flag was raised and the National Anthem was sung by a Walmart Associate.
The festivities moved inside where Walmart presented over $5,000 in gift checks to various local community groups. We got wind of this event, when one of the Co-Managers (one of my past brides) contacted us. We provided music and microphone/PA system both inside and out.

Blossom’s Jenna Von Oy Wedding at Dana Holcombe House in Newtown CT
Blossom's Jenna Von Oy held her wedding at Dana Holcombe House in Newtown CT - DJ Tony Simmons and DJ Brian were there to help her through her day. We provided ceremony microphones and sound support for the band All-4-One. We even provided up-lighting at the Dana Hulkem House for the reception and sound support for the after party "Jam Session" for Jenna and her musical friends.
In the spirit of her lovableBlossom character Six LeMeure, Jenna von Oy is downright giddy about her new husband, Brad Bratcher.
"We're so happy," the actress, who wed Bratcher on Oct. 10, tells PEOPLE. "My mama told me never to meet a man at a bar – so I did!"
The actress and the Dell computer data consultant, who had dated for two years before they tied the knot, met at a wine bar in Nashville and bonded over a love of author Gabriel Garcia Marquez. They became engaged last New Year's Eve.
The couple's wedding reflected their down-to-earth style: Bratcher, 39, and von Oy, 33, said "I do" in her hometown of Newtown, Conn., in the garden outside a bed and breakfast owned by a former teacher of the bride's. The couple's dog, Bruiser, served as ring bearer. ("He laid down for the entire ceremony!" marvels von Oy, who carried flowers from Just for You Floral Design Studio in Middlefield, Conn., down the aisle).
After the ceremony – during which 83 guests, including actors Kal Penn and Dule Hill, snacked on truffle popcorn – friends and family danced the night away to songs they were asked to request beforehand.
"There were only five people sitting at any given time," said von Oy. "I was wearing these purple lace-up boots under my dress, so, yeah, good stuff!"
The couple's first dance was to Train's "Marry Me," but they also shared a special second trip around the dance floor as the deejay played a song that von Oy wrote for her new husband.
"He looked at me and his eyes welled up," says von Oy.
The wedding was full of similar personal touches: a clothesline held photos of the newlyweds with each guest, and the cake – a peanut butter and chocolate confection – was prepared by Bratcher's chef sister. The couple were toasted with glasses of Malibu Rocky Oaks wine.
Von Oy says it "truly was" the best day of her life. "We knew it would be a wonderful day," she says. "But it was a blast – more fun than we ever expected!"

Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield, MA – Kahla & Samir’s Wedding
Kahla & Samir held their reception at The Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield, MA. Samir was a Grateful Dead and Phish fan (he was refered to as a "Dead Fish Head" during one of the toasts). Kahla was more of a Top-40 fan. Add in some Arabic music and three hundred guests and we had quite the party. Guests arrived around 3pm and the party did not break up until after 11pm.
We provided DJing services, Master of Ceremony as well as some up-lights and custom name in lights on the dance floor (later moved to the back wall during dancing).

Amherst and Northampton, MA Area Wedding Receptions – DJ Entertainment
The Northampton and Amherst areas of Massachusetts are a great place to hold your wedding reception. The quaint downtown streets of Northampton and Amherst are rich with local artistry and unique restaurants and bars. I always liked going out dancing in Northampton in my college days.
A combination of local artists and college students (Umass, Amherst, Smith, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke) make this the chic area of the Pioneer Valley. That’s probably why so many weddings occur in the Amherst & Northampton areas of Massachusetts.

Jenn and Micah’s Wedding at Old Lenox Library in Lenox MA
Jenn & Micha's wedding reception at Old Lenox Library in Lenox, MA was filled with old world charm and a beautiful toast by Uncle Alan (Alan Alda - see photo below).
DJ Tony Simmons provided music in the main hall for dinner and then dancing was in the art gallery adjacent. We provide the event up-lighting in both rooms.
Milk and Cookies Inspired Shoot by Love and Lavender – Style Me Pretty
We are going to switch gears a bit and share the cutest of photo shoots with you because who doesn’t love a great shoot? They’re always extremely easy on the eyes and filled to the brim with tons of ideas that you can infuse into your own day. Plus, this one is as sweet as it is pretty and there are cookies involved! Inspired by the idea of milk and cookies, the ladies behind Love and Lavender set out to create a farm fresh, rustic spread incorporating tons of tasty treats and we are loving the outcome. From Love and Lavender…
We put almost all of the details together ourselves. The guest sign-in area consisted of a “recipe for love” sign that detailed Ellen and Josh’s love story. Then, we had guests fill out recipe cards with their own recipes for love and put them in the recipe box. We made favors by filling milk bottles with ingredients for cookies and included the recipe on the labels. The ladies of Jonda Spurbeck Photographers were indispensable in finding the location (an unharvested alfalfa field), baking some of the cookies, and contributing props. Their photography captured our vision perfectly. The table was decorated with various items that went along with milk or baking, including a vintage food scale, an old milk carrier, and lots of vintage milk bottles filled with flowers. We also used a cookie jar from Anthropologie with a wood sign we made that spelled out “Udder-ly in Love”. We made the menu cards by nailing printed menus onto cedar shingles. We made the napkins and used twine and heart cookie cutters as the napkin rings. The runner played off of the ruffles in Ellen’s dress and was made by sewing strips of fabric together and gathering them. Hay bales served as seating.
The cookie stand was made by laying a windowpane across more hay bales. We used a mixture of apple baskets, plates, and cake stands to display a variety of cookies that we baked as well as the cake (also made by us). In addition, we created the cake topper with two hard boiled eggs, part of an egg carton, and some paint! We hung baking supplies from the “cookies” sign that hung over the stand. The milk stand was made out of wood and built by our husbands. We simply added drink dispensers with three different flavors of milk: chocolate, strawberry, and regular! Ellen wore a Jim Hjelm dress from La Belle Elaine’s in Seattle. She wore a hair flower from Feathers and Frills and a pair of rugged boots from Ruche. Josh’s attire was a mix of items he already owned and pieces we picked up at thrift stores.
