Wedding Ceremony Lighting Ideas – Rob Alberti’s After Hours DJ, Lighting and Entertainment
If your wedding ceremony is inside a banquet room or hall and you want a little more “wow” factor to your ceremony, maybe you should consider lighting at your indoor wedding ceremony. Lighting for your ceremony can come in many forms, candles, wash lighting, or texture lighting.
Candles are always a great option for lighting your wedding ceremony and exchange of vows. Candles offer that romantic lighting at your wedding ceremony. You can also bring in your wedding color scheme using wash lighting (LED lighting or traditional par cans) on the walls or behind where you will be exchanging your vows. This can be used as a backdrop for your ceremony. The use of texture lighting (designs or patterns projected onto a ceiling or wall) can be a great way to bring in your invitation design. This could be in the form of maybe a tree or the swirl pattern that you used on your wedding invitation. You can also project your name or monogram onto the runner at your wedding ceremony (saves purchasing a custom runner).
Lighting can warm up a space using colors such as amber or teal in dark spaces. We can light up your hupa or wedding ceremony floral arrangements at your ceremony site. Up-lighting your exchange of vows can make an ordinary space look extraordinary. It does wonders for your wedding ceremony photography as well. A Barn Wedding Reception In The Berkshires of Massachusetts
Thinking of getting married in the fall in the Berkshires of Massachusetts? Have you considered a rustic setting such as a barn for your wedding reception site? These are a couple of our favorite barn wedding reception sites in the Berkshires (as well as Connecticut and Western Mass):

You will always get that authentic rustic feel to your wedding reception and outdoor wedding ceremony with a true barn wedding reception. There will be no ornate pillars of white or grand marble entryway. It’s a barn wedding afterall. There will be “nature” all around you as Monk would say. If it rains, there will probably be mud to contend with in the parking lot. Forget about air conditioning – the temperature outside will most likely be LOWER than the temperature inside your barn wedding reception.
I grew up on a small farm, so a barn wedding is really not my style, but there are so many brides out there that want the down-to-earth feel at their wedding that only a barn wedding in the Berkshires in Massachusetts will give them, Do a google search for “Barn Wedding Receptions In the Berkshires” or similar to find many other uniquely quaint barns to have your wedding reception and outdoor wedding ceremony staged.

Jennifer & Clark’s Wedding Reception at The New Haven Lawn Club – Architectural Uplighting
We were asked by Jennifer and Clark to light their wedding reception at The New Haven Lawn Club. Now, if you have never seen The New Haven Lawn Club, it is this turn of the century old world banquet room. The unique chandeliers in this hall are completely stunning. We provided lighting on the back wall behind the band (texture pattern), uplighting on the stage, behind the bar and all around the room.

Jessie & Lad’s Wedding at Mohegan Sun Uncas Ballroom
Jessie & Lad had their wedding ceremony and reception at Mohegan Sun. Upstairs - we provided uplighting in the ceremony site as well as wireless microphones and music.
Downstairs in the Mohegan Sun Uncas Ballroom, we provided Amber and Red up-lighting around the perimeter of the room. We lit their sweetheart table from the underside in amber and their custom name in lights were provided on the dance floor.
Jessie & Lad put together a slide show on their own and it was a bit hit.
